One of the perks of living in Paris is that if I ever need to feel like a queen for a day, there are a multitude of châteaux nearby that I can visit and pretend I’m royalty. Today’s pick was Château de Champs-sur-Marne, a fine example of neoclassical architecture, located a little east of Paris in the Île-de-France region.
Paris has been a bit rainy and grey recently, but today the sun decided to grace us with its presence, so Molly and I took advantage of it by having a picnic and walking around the gardens at the Château.
Yeah, we brought Nutella and Cherry Coke on our picnic, no judgement.
The château is wonderfully furnished so that I felt as if I had been transported back in time and was French royalty. It was as extravagant as Versailles, but at a much smaller scale. I could definitely picture living there.
I wish I had a château. *sigh*
