The boulangerie produces such lovely smells, like bread and sugar. The sugary glaze glistens on a small gâteau. Visible sweetness. Small, stacked towers of multicolored macarons, are perfectly formed. How does the meringue on top of a tarte citron feel as light as air? XOLily

In the dark I see the lighting of cigarettes on the balconies. I open the doors that overlook the courtyard and let the smoke in. I enjoy the smell. Not too overpowering, it is quite lovely. Tonight the smoke smell comes with the sound of french men laughing drunkenly. XOLily
The sugary top, the cool, creamy soft texture. I love crème brûlée.
